This week was Google I/O, Google’s developer conference, where major updates are announced. This year was no exception, with the launch of Spaces and the announcement of Google Smart Assistant , messaging apps Allo and Duo , VR platform Daydream , Android N updates and much much more. Manage Google+ Settings for your Blogger blog: profile, comments, sharing

Blogger is removing Google+ features including Google+ comments and widgets on February 4, 2019, and Blogger accounts using Google+ Profiles will be reverted to Blogger profiles in March 2019. Learn more. Google+ settings for your Blogger blog are now easier to find and better integrated with your other blog settings. You can still choose between a Blogger or Google+ Profile, and Blogger or Google+ Comments. The Google+ tab has been removed from the left menu of your blog dashboard. The Google+ settings can now be found in your blog's  Settings under Posts, comments and sharing Note: the settings themselves haven't changed. If you are happy with your blog's current profile and comment setup, you don't need to make any changes.  Switch to (and from) a Google+ Profile Set a Google+ Page as "Publisher" of your Blog Enable or disable Google+ Comments Manage sharing to Google+

Embed YouTube livestream and live chat on your blog or website

So you're planning a live broadcast - that's excellent! Now that your Live event or Hangout on Air is scheduled, you need to promote it. Note: as of August 2016 you must have monetization enabled and an approved AdSense account linked to your YouTube account to embed the video on your own website. Learn more . Why embed your livestream video and live chat on your blog? This week was about the social: Google Photos got comments for photos and albums and YouTube introduced Messenger a new way to share and chat on mobile (invite only). Google introduced a new keyboard for iOS devices with GIF and emoji search. Plus there were updates for Google Calendar, Google Translate, Hangouts, AdSense, Google+, and more.
